Taxonomy
Tulites erymnoides was named by Arkell (1952). Its type specimen is SM F10764, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 25, Barra area (Aramco S-1507), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia.
