Taxonomy
Pachyerymnoceras mahipati was named by Jain (2017). Its type specimen is University of Rajasthan Ler/1999/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ler Dome, 6.5 m below Dhosa Oolite, which is in a Callovian marine lime mudstone in India.
