Marsupipterus sculpturatus
Taxonomy
Marsupipterus sculpturatus was named by Caster and Kjellesvig-Waering (1955). Its type specimen is GSM 89467, an abdomen (telson), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Forge Bridge, Downton, which is in a Pridoli paralic siltstone in the Downton Castle Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Marsupipterus.
