Erettopterus waylandsmithi

Taxonomy
Pterygotus (Pterygotus) waylandsmithi was named by Kjellesvig-Waering and Caster (1955). Its type specimen is NYSM 10707, a claw (free ramus of chelicera), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oneida Creek, southeast of Kenwood, which is in a Ludfordian lagoonal shale in the Vernon Formation of New York.

It was recombined as Erettopterus waylandsmithi by Dunlop et al. (2013).
