Taxonomy
Bulimus decussatus was named by Lamarck (1804). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Louvres (Defrance collection), which is in a Lutetian carbonate carbonate in France.

It was recombined as Melania decussata by Deshayes (1825).
