It was recombined as Goldius ekwanensis by Northrop (1939); it was misspelled as Ekwanoscutellum ekwanensis by Jin et al. (1993); it was recombined as Ekwanoscutellum ekwanaspis by Pribyl and Vanek (1971) and Jell and Adrain (2002).
