Pentarthrum inclusus was named by Bukejs and Legalov (2017). Its type specimen is AB 036, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Madagascar copal (Bukejs collection), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Madagascar.
