Taxonomy
Galathea mainensis was named by Ceccon and De Angeli (2012). Its type specimen is MCV11/01-I.G.327449 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cava Main di Arzignano (Museo Civico G. Zannato collection), which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in Italy.
