Taxonomy
Peripetoceras kummeli was named by Niko and Mapes (2017). Its type specimen is AMNH 5891 and is a mold. Its type locality is ARC-03, Elba, which is in an Arnsbergian marine shale in the Imo Formation of Arkansas.
