Taxonomy
Gymnotoceras crimicus was named by Astakhova (1976). Its type specimen is IGN AN USSR 1769/201 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry opposite Lozove, Salgir River, which is in an Illyrian marine siltstone in Ukraine.
