Taxonomy
Baculites cobbani was named by Khakimov (1976). Its type specimen is SMTSSR 45/1168 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lower Amu-Darya River, Dul-Dul Gorge, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in Uzbekistan.
