Taxonomy
Festenus gracilis was named by Żyła et al. (2017). Its type specimen is SMNS Bu-119/1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (SMNS coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
