Taxonomy
Galeodea sutterensis was named by Dickerson (1916). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 1853, Marysville Buttes, which is in a Ypresian marine horizon in the Capay Formation of California.
It was recombined as Galeodea (Gomphopages) sutterensis by Durham (1942).
