Taxonomy
Strepsidura diabloensis was named by Clark and Woodford (1927). Its type specimen is UCMP 31365, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3577, Dry Creek, which is in a Ypresian coastal sandstone in the Meganos Formation of California.
