Taxonomy
Calyptraea calabasasensis was named by Nelson (1925). Its type specimen is UC 30533, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Calyptraea (Galerus) calabasasensis by Clark and Woodford (1927); it was synonymized subjectively with Calyptraea diegoana by Squires (1984).
