Kuhnemys orlovi
Taxonomy
Amyda orlovi was named by Khosatzky (1976). Its type specimen is PIN 557-1/1, a partial shell (incomplete carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bayn Shire (PIN coll. 557) [MPE], which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian fluvial claystone in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Gobiapalone.
It was recombined as Gobiapalone orlovi by Danilov et al. (2014); it was recombined as Kuhnemys orlovi by Georgalis and Joyce (2017).
