Cyclanorbis turkanensis
Taxonomy
Cyclanorbis turkanensis was named by Meylan et al. (1990). Its type specimen is KNM-KP-17196, a partial skeleton (carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kanapoi, Bed E, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in the Kanapoi Formation of Kenya.
