Taxonomy
Bamyaniceras yangchangense was named by Zhou (2017). Its type specimen is NIGP 154095, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangchang section, beds 35-32, which is in an Artinskian marine claystone in the Yangchang Formation of China.
