Taxonomy
Bransonoceras longyinense was named by Zhou (2017). Its type specimen is NIGP 93725, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huagong, beds 19-17, which is in an Artinskian marine claystone in the Longyin Formation of China.
