Taxonomy
Masrasector nananubis was named by Borths and Seiffert (2017). Its type specimen is CGM 83736 (formerly DPC 11383), a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
