Taxonomy
Masradapis tahai was named by Seiffert et al. (2017). Its type specimen is CGM 83720, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Masradapis.
