Taxonomy
Vitimaphis subridens was named by Żyła et al. (2017). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/5000, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
