Taxonomy
Malthodes perkovskyi was named by Kazantsev (2010). Its type specimen is SIZK K-4579, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Rovno Amber, Klesov locality (SIZC K collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Ukraine.
It was recombined as Malthodes (Malthodes) perkovskyi by Fanti (2017) and Fanti (2017).
