Strepsidura oregonensis was named by Dall (1909). Its type specimen is USNM 107395, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Eosiphonalia (Strepsidura) oregonensis by Ruth (1942); it was recombined as Eosiphonalia oregonensis by Moore (1976).
