Taxonomy
Thynnus krambergeri was named by Pauca (1931). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nikoltschitz, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Czech Republic.

It was recombined as Thunnus krambergeri by Bannikov (1979).
