Eostropheodonta delicata was named by Baarli (1995). Its type specimen is PMO 128.376, a valve (brachial valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

B. G. Baarli 1995This is a small, consistently multicostellate Eostropheodonta species with thin shells and very short, widely diverging dental plates. The cardinalia are very small and delicate compared to valve size, and the notothyrial platform is indistinct.
