Sebastes ineziae
Taxonomy
Rixator ineziae was named by Jordan and Gilbert (1920). Its type specimen is Stanford University Paleontology Type Collection 45B, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lompoc Quarry, which is in a Tortonian basinal (siliciclastic) diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.
It was recombined as Sebastinus ineziae by Jordan (1925); it was recombined as Sebastodes (Sebastinus) ineziae by David (1943); it was recombined as Sebastes ineziae by Fierstine et al. (2012).
