Lophius brachysomus

Taxonomy
Lophius brachysomus was named by Agassiz (1835). Its type specimen is MNHN Bol 42/43, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Caruso brachysomus by Carnevale and Pietsch (2012), Carnevale et al. (2014) and Bannikov (2014).
