Spatulata spatulata

Taxonomy
Phillipsia spatulata was named by Woodward (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Codden Hill, near Barnstaple, which is in a Chadian marine mudstone in the Codden Hill Chert Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Spatulina.

It was recombined as Spatulina spatulata by Osmolska (1962), Owens and Tilsley (1995), Jell and Adrain (2002) and Müller (2008); it was recombined as Spatulata spatulata by Özdikmen (2009).
