Palaeopinnixa perornata
Taxonomy
Pinnixa (Palaeopinnixa) perornata was named by Collins and Morris (1976). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 61361 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Spa Estate, which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine horizon in the Scotland Beds Formation of Barbados.
It was recombined as Palaeopinnixa perornata by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2001), Schweitzer et al. (2010) and Luque et al. (2017).
