Taxonomy
Odontaspis robusta was named by Leriche (1905). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Odontaspis (Synodontaspis) robusta by Casier (1946) and Cassier (1966); it was recombined as Jaekelotodus robustus by Cappetta and Nolf (2005); it was recombined as Jaekelotodus robusta by Ebersole et al. (2019).
