Taxonomy
Eoorthis bifurcata was named by Harrington (1937). It is the type species of Lampazarorthis.

It was recombined as Nanorthis bifurcata by Villas (2009); it was recombined as Lampazarorthis bifurcata by Benedetto and Muñoz (2017).
