Atelelasma subdorsoconvexum was named by Rozman and Severgina (1983). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Llandeilian brachiopods of Gorny Altai, Belaya River, which is in a Darriwilian marine sandstone/claystone in the Bugryshikhinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
