Protochonetes elyensis
Taxonomy
Protochonetes elyensis was named by Sheehan (1982). Its type specimen is USNM 219628 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jack Valley Member, Great Basin, Southern Egan Range, which is in a Telychian/Wenlock deep subtidal shelf dolomite in the Laketown Dolomite Formation of Nevada.
