Liljevallia vieillensis was named by Northrop (1939) [? Liljevallia vieillensis]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Northrop Locality 007. west of railway cut, La Vieille, west of Anse Cascon, which is in a Telychian carbonate limestone/shale in the La Vieille Formation of Canada.
