Diraphora dyunyin was named by Kruse (1990). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Outcrop NTGS 4621, Daly Basin, Tindall Limestone, which is in a Cambrian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Tindall Limestone Formation of Australia.
