Acculina kulanketpesica was named by Popov et al. (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burultas Valley, Betpak-Dala desert, sample 1041a, which is in a Caradoc perireef or subreef limestone in the Anderken Formation of Kazakhstan.
