Taxonomy
Rugostrophia latireticulata was named by Neuman (1976). Its type specimen is GSC 35085, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Virgin Arm, which is in a Darriwilian carbonate limestone in the Cobbs Arm Formation of Canada.
