Taxonomy
Dulankarella fragilis was named by Rukavishnikova (1956). Its type specimen is IGNA 28/1369, a shell (conjoined valves), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Shlyginia fragilis by Popov et al. (2002).
