Lampazarorthis brachymyaria

Taxonomy
Nanorthis brachymyaria was named by Benedetto and Carrasco (2002) [Benedetto in Benedetto & Carrasco 2002]. Its type specimen is CEGH–UNC 20431, a shell (External and internal molds of ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ch-6b. Quebrada Chalala, Purmamarca, which is in a Tremadoc offshore mudstone in the Coquena Formation of Argentina.

It was recombined as Lampazarorthis brachymyaria by Benedetto and Muñoz (2017).

J. L. Benedetto and P. A. Carrasco 2002A species of Nanorthis relatively small; ventral valve moderately to strongly convex, ornamented by eight to nine subangular costellae per 2 mm. Dental plates very short. Ventral muscle field proportionally wide and short. Vascula media widely separated, divergent, branching into narrow, posteroloterally directed trunks and medially directed branches. Notothyrial platform low, subtriangular. Cardinal process absent. Brachiophores delicate, divergent anteriorly at about 70–75°. Dorsal muscle field indistinct.
