Taxonomy
Ujukites altaicus was named by Andreev (1985). Its type specimen is TsNIGMRmuzey 70/11865 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gorny Altai, Tuloy River, which is in a Dapingian marine horizon in the Karasinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Ujukites.
