Taxonomy
Kullervo sulcata was named by Cooper (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 117017, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 0.2 miles southeast of Pratt Ferry, which is in a Chazyan open shallow subtidal limestone in the Pratt Ferry Formation of Alabama.
