Taxonomy
Paleoepeolus micheneri was named by Dehon et al. (2017). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (MNHN collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France. It is the type species of Paleoepeolus.
