Taxonomy
Phaenomya vaderensis was named by Weaver and Palmer (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UW 315, which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Cowlitz Formation of Washington.
It was recombined as Erodona vaderensis by Cox et al. (1969) and Hendy (2020).
