Bageherpeton longignathus

Taxonomy
Bageherpeton longignathus was named by Dias and Barberena (2001). Its type specimen is UFRGS PV- 0317-P, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bagé-Aceguá Highway (BR 153), km 176, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Rio do Rasto Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Bageherpeton.
