Chaetodon (Arambourgchaetodon) ficheuri
Taxonomy
Chaetodon ficheuri was named by Arambourg (1927). Its type specimen is MNHN ORA89, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Raz-el-Ain, which is in a Messinian marine horizon in the Raz-el-Ain Formation of Algeria.
It was recombined as Chaetodon (Arambourgchaetodon) ficheuri by Carnevale (2006).
