Taxonomy
Nemachilus musceli was named by Pauca (1929). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Suslanesti, which is in a Rupelian marine slate in Romania.

It was recombined as Glossanodon musceli by Jerzmanska (1968), Kalabis and Schultz (1974), Ciobanu (1977) and Constantin (1999).
