Taxonomy
Platidia blowi was named by Cooper (1978). Its type specimen is USNM 550857e and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 25653, Navaka River (SM43C), which is in a Pleistocene carbonate sandstone in Vanuatu.
