Taxonomy
Pseudotissotia barjonai was named by Choffat (1898). Its type specimen is SGP 845 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moinho do Almoxarife, which is in a Turonian marine horizon in Portugal.
It was recombined as Choffaticeras barjonai by Hyatt (1903); it was recombined as Choffaticeras (Leoniceras) barjonai by Barroso-Barcenilla and Goy (2007).
