Danubites floriani
Taxonomy
Celtites floriani was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schreyeralm (Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Schreyeralm Formation of Austria. It is the type species of Ceratites (Florianites).
It was recombined as Florianites floriani by Hyatt (1900); it was recombined as Danubites floriani by Spath (1951).
